Finally, ESPN to the Rescue!
Well I thought I should write to confirm that Tom Hansen was bailed out. As much as I wanted him to get fired for this flagrant crime and mis-handling of the media coverage for this seasons games...I'd much rather have the thing nationally televised. Great job Tom, you dodged the bullet!

Tom Hansen's a joke!
Here is an article that I posted on the Oregonian Blog, in response to an article about Tom Hansen (Pac10 Idiot President)

"Finally, the media is talking about this. I was so frustrated yesterday at the media coverage. First of all, FSN is the worst network in the country. They don't have a High Def channel, and the announcers aren't that great. Against Washington we had to endure the homers (Brock Huard) and Co. for way to long. A this week, the broadcast was spotty, and the audio was terrible, not to mention that one of the announcers called us the "Beavers" on 2 occasions. Luckily I was at the USC game so I could avoid all of this.
The Pac 10 really can't complain about coverage and then go out and hire a blue hair to be innovative with our media coverage. On multiple occasions at Autzen I found myself in conversations with both Duck and Trojan fan about this very issue. If anything, we all agree on this very point. HANSEN HAS TO GO! This is all going to happen next week when #4ASU rolls into Eugene to play the #5Ducks. The game isn't on at all from what I hear. What an idiot!!
The only other thing I can think to do is to get Phil Knight to buy FSN so we can blow it up. What is Hansen thinking? You have Oregon vs. USC, and Cal vs ASU, and none of it is broadcast nationally? What a joke. Its no wonder Dixon isn't getting better media hype. Everyone makes fun of the Ducks for our NY billboards but what else can we do to get exposure for players? The Pac10 sure doesn't care.
ESPN's college Gameday gets it! This is what it takes. A 2nd trip to Eugene in a single season. At least there is some sanity out there in lahlah media land. Herbstreet for President!
And, why the heck is Tim Tebone #1 in any heisman voting? He's successfully led his team to 3 losses. Great job Tim. I will concede that he is a decent QB. But lets be honest...Jake Locker from Washington(lost 6 straight) is much like Tebow and nobodys voting for him. And Matt Ryan played terrrrrible this week. If Va Tech could have played some D in the last minute BC would be out of the top 10 like we all know they should.
Down with the ECB! (East Coast Bias) Down with Tom Hansen!

Section 38
Section 38 is our home on Saturday's. We love our team through wins and losses. We have been there for all the years of mediocrity. Thats what makes the recent winning so special. The win at Michigan. The win against USC this week. Who knows what is next? Could it be BSC Championship? We will see.
